ELECTRIC BLANKET cleaning advice?

February 8th, 2010 | by admin |

Could I put an electric blanket (coils are never used, just the blanket itself) in the dryer on just AIR? If I’m right, that doesn’t use any hot air, correct? Let me know, please. THANKS!

I wash mine (coils and all) in the gentle cycle, then throw it in the dryer on low heat. Just make sure it doesn’t over-dry. It should be fine. I’ve washed mine like that so many times already with no problems.

I take ours and stuff it into one of the dry cleaning bags with a dry cleaning sheet. Put on air and it comes out smelling great.

But if you need to go cheaper, yes throw in dyer on air and throw a couple of dryer sheets.

I would hang it up to dry, then put it in the dryer on air to soften it up.

Wash on wool or delicate cycle with mild soap,do not use high spin or xtra spin cycles, tumble dry on air or low settings for 15 minutes max,do not dry with heat,be sure control sockets are completely dry before using(24 hrs) be fore pugging in(hint: make sure you unplug all controls from blanket)
