I have a beautiful red throw blanket. I am not quite sure of the material – it is similar to a wool. It wasn’t very expensive, but it is my favorite. Unfortunately, it sheds everywhere. On the sofa, on the carpet, on my clothing. Is there a way to remove any excess "fluff" to avoid any shedding? Or is this just the way the blanket is?
I would check the washing instructions on the label. A lot of times if you just wash and dry it a time or two, that will get rid of all those fluffies that are coming off of it.
If that solution doesn’t work for you, take it outside and shake the heck out of it, maybe even beat it with a broom, like you would a rug.
The main colors are black and slate grey with a lime green accent. I don’t really care which color(s) the bed covers are, as long as it works with the colors I’ll be painting the room. I want a retro kind of look, but it doesn’t matter as long as it looks unique, basically. It can be a throw blanket or a duvet, a plain comforter or a whole set. It doesn’t matter. Thank you!
Colors that I think would look good are silver or electric blue, but if you think a different color would fit better, feel free to mention it.
Silver and electric blue sound like they would fit the room as well as the retro look that you have in mind. I would reccomend adding some pattern with red in it to compliment the lime green accent.
I would like to make tie blanket but the design i would like to use only comes in an already made tie blanket rather than fleece fabric. Is it possible to make a tie blanket this way or should I settle for a lesser design?
I don’t see any reason why you can’t use a throw blanket, as long as it doesn’t fray. Just trim off the edges where it is already hemmed or blanket-stitched and it ought to work just fine.

I have a fleece throw blanket that has a hard, crusty stain, I can’t tell what it is. It doesn’t wash out and I can’t pull the stain off without pulling the fibers out of the blanket. Any advice is appreciated!
You might take it to your local cleaners and ask them if they think they can get the stain out. They should be able to tell you if they can or not and what the cost would be. Once you get a quote on the cost to take the stain out, you would then have to decide if the blanket is worth the cleaners price or not.
Hello!! I’m looking for a New Moon Jacob fleece blanket (more like a throw) for my friend for Christmas. I’ve looked on eBay and Amazon, but the blankets are around $50… Which is way more than I am willing to spend… Where can else can I buy one for cheaper? Thanks!! ![]()
