Superman Blankets

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

you know who I could be
rising through the blue
He changes me

chorus
corner of the bed
Superman blankets

If I was Superman
curl upon my head
muscles in my suit
flying -hind my fist

robbers out the bank
thugs pulling guns
black turtlenecks
holding sacks of cash
I am standing straight

bullets off my chest
s is on my breast
I am bending steel
no one can believe

If I was Superman
any problem fixed
everyone would see
what’s inside of me

The red sun’s going down
I sleep with Superman

When Getting Ready for Romance A Guys Needs to Keep This Checklist Handy

Monday, February 15th, 2010

Before a guy is going on a date or a night on the town looking for romance and hoping to bring someone home with you, you should create a check list. Here are the things you should do:

The first thing is to make your bed. In fact, better than that change the sheets and, if necessary, the blankets and bedspread.

Next on your check list before going on a date, and one of the most important things to do before a night on the town is to clean your bathroom. The toilet and the shower, tub and sink should be spotless. You should have plenty of clean towels too. Make sure there is plenty of toilet paper. Remember, women use more than you do.

You’ll want to make sure there is breakfast food available as well the kind you can cook. Bacon, eggs, toast, coffee and juice are the best choices. Muffins are great, and even yogurt. Cold cereal is not the coolest thing to offer a woman who has just spent the night in your home for the first time. Your check list before a night on the town looking for romance should include a grocery list as well. You should be prepared with a light snack and something to drink (both alcoholic and non) for that evening as well.

If you have an answering machine attached to your phone instead of voice mail anyone in its vicinity can hear the message left when you don’t answer the phone. If that’s the case do one of two things: turn the volume off on the machine and turn the ringer off on the phone, or unplug the phone. What you don’t want is some other woman calling and saying something romantic or lascivious within earshot, or some other woman calling you some kind of dog for ditching her.

Keep plenty of condoms ready by your bed but out of sight. You want to be prepared but not looking over eager.

Remove from everywhere in your home the items left over from any other women. Make sure there are no second used toothbrushes, no earrings or even earring backs, no panties or perfume, and no women’s magazines.

Clean your house top to bottom. It doesn’t have to be spic and span but dirty clothes should be in the hamper and dirty dishes in the sink – not on the coffee table with the fork stuck to them.

As your mother would tell you, your check list before going on a date should include wearing clean underwear and socks that are free of holes as well.

Dim your lights before you leave for the evening. If your lights don’t have a dimmer switch and they’re not three way then pick up some 40-60 watt bulbs and replace your current bright lights. You might have some candles ready for the bedroom, but again don’t bring those out right away.

These then are the most important things to have on your checklist before you head out on a date looking for love and romance.

Question about using a baby blanket for a newborn?

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

I posted a similar question about dressing a newborn in sleepwear, but my question now is if baby is wearing a t-shirt, diaper, socks, and a thin sleepsack or t-shirt, diaper, and fleece footed pajamas, would he need a blanket too? If so, should it be thin or thick? I have about 2 wks to go and I just want to be prepared. Thanks!
Or, should the sleepsack just serve as the blanket, in which case, he would wear a t-shirt, diaper, pants, and socks?
Thanks a bunch!

No, the sleepsack replaces the need for blankets and is a great way to help create a safe sleeping environment for your baby.

Sleeping baby on his back and eliminating excess crib accessories (such as toys, bumpers etc), as well as replacing sheets and blankets with a sleepsack are a couple of things we can all do to prevent our little ones from falling victim to SIDS. Overheating can be a contributing factor as well, so make sure you choose a sleepsack made of a natural fabric such as merino or cotton. Polyester doesn’t tend to breath as much and can cause your baby to become hot and sweaty.

What newborn sleepsack are you thinking about using? Even though it’s a little more expensive, I ended up going with a newborn merino sleepsack that I bought on www.babysleepbags.com because it’s able to regulate baby’s body temperature and keep him comfortable.

We’ve been dressing him in his sleepsack at night for a few months now and he’s able to soothe himself and sleep soundly through the night without getting overheated and cranky. I LOVE them!!

Good luck with your little one ;)

My male full grown cat pees on my bed blankets and my clothes?

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

I love him lots so I can live with it, but my cousin who I live with cant handle it. I found that he doesnt seen to be going on my bed as much anymore but he is still drawn to my clothes. Anything I can do to get him to stop? And what can I wash my clothes in to get the cat smell out? I dont want to get rid of him but it might be the only option. Oh, he also poops on these things. We have two other female cats, do you think its because of there smell in the littler boxes?

Is your cat fixed? You need to have 1 litter box for each cat too. Take him to the vet just to make sure everything is ok. If it is, it may be an attention getter and he is marking his territory on your stuff. Also, make sure you didn’t switch cat litters recently. Use baking soda or oxyclean for the smell.
