I love him lots so I can live with it, but my cousin who I live with cant handle it. I found that he doesnt seen to be going on my bed as much anymore but he is still drawn to my clothes. Anything I can do to get him to stop? And what can I wash my clothes in to get the cat smell out? I dont want to get rid of him but it might be the only option. Oh, he also poops on these things. We have two other female cats, do you think its because of there smell in the littler boxes?
Is your cat fixed? You need to have 1 litter box for each cat too. Take him to the vet just to make sure everything is ok. If it is, it may be an attention getter and he is marking his territory on your stuff. Also, make sure you didn’t switch cat litters recently. Use baking soda or oxyclean for the smell.

when i’m gone to work during the day my dogs are outside in the yard. they have a giant shed that is pretty much all theirs. i have dog beds and comforters for them to snuggle up in and it’s quite cozy. the problem? they shred everything after a day or two. as much as i would love to be able to buy them new beds every two days, it’s just not in the ole budget. i don’t want to spray bitter apple or anything like that on the beds if it’s gonna make them not want to lay on them anymore and it probably wouldn’t deter them from shredding them anyway. and i give them each one or two rawhides every day so it’s not for lack of chew stuff. when they come inside they don’t shred our furniture or blankets so what gives?
well i have two pitbulls and they do the same thing chew all of there beds and blankets. What we did was make sure that there is alot of toys and other things to chew on instead of blankets and beds well i hope you find an answer..

When I was younger I had this Disney Pocahontas throw blanket that I was madly in love with but for some reason or other I ended up getting rid of it. I’ve looked on Ebay and just about anywhere else I could come up with. Anyways, it was just her face, on the bottom it read ‘Pocahontas’, and around the edges it had, I don’t know, frills, I guess you could call them, it was just the string hanging loose. The throw blanket was an orange-y brown color with, I believe, some dark blues. If anyone knows where I could find one, I’d owe you forever!!!

I am trying to make a baby blanket, the kind that is a small square made with different colors and textures and has ribbons sewn on the ends. its more of a toy maybe. i would love to make one for my daughter but i do not know how although it seems like it would be somewhat simple. can someone please give me advice or offer a helpful website. thanks!
I think you’re wanting a "Taggy" or "Sensory" blanket. They’re very simple to make. Is this what you are talking about?
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9504816
Start with two pieces of flannel, approximately 10 to 12 inch squares.
Next, cut pieces of ribbon about 6 inches long.
Lay out one piece of flannel, print side up. Make a loop out of your ribbon and pin it to the sides of your flannel where you want it to be. Making sure the loop part is to the inside of your fabric.
Next, lay your second piece of flannel on top of the other piece but put this piece print side down. Your two pieces of fabric should be print sides together, sandwiching the ribbon loops inside.
Pin the two pieces of flannel together and sew around them, using a 1/2 inch seam, leaving a small opening, for turning.
Turn your blanket right side out and press it. Make sure you press the open part to where the raw edge is up in the blanket. Now topstitch around the blanket, making sure your topstitching catches the fabric where you left the opening.
Press again…. Presto! You have a taggy blanket!!
Hope this helps!! Happy Sewing!!

I have been sleeping with my baby blanket for 22 years is there something wrong with me? I love that blanket, I will never let it go, I will continue to sleep with it. I don’t feel like there is anything wrong with me sleeping with it. I have to sew it up every once in a while because I don’t want it to fall apart. It is dear to me my grandmother made it for me when I was a baby. Its not a small blanket though its big. What do you all think?
Also I am married and my husband don’t have a problem with it. He even steals it from me at times. LOL
I don’t think it matters what anyone on Answers thinks. You’ve already made up your mind that you’re going to sleep with the blanket no matter what, so who cares what strangers on the internet think?

following a pattern from a book. I know the fan stitch and thougth it would make a cute baby blanket for my cousin who is expecting. I’m using size 8 needles. Thanks.
I’m sorry I don’t think I made myself clear, I mean that I am following the fan stitch from a book but I need to know how many I should cast on to make it the right length. Thanks
I have a pattern for this on my site but it uses size 11 needles.
http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/easter-afghan.html
But the stitch count for babies is 110
I love using the size 11s because it makes it nice and lacy.
But I also have another version on that page that uses size 8’s and she suggests casting on 120 sts. Hope this helps.

I am going to crochet a baby blanket for a friend of mine and I just bought this yarn. I have never made a baby blanket before so I was wondering if anyone has tried this yarn or if you recommend a better yarn for baby blankets.
Thanks!
The first few things I ever crocheted where baby blankets made of Bernat Softee Baby yarn. It frayed a little easily but it wasn’t bad. The only thing is that my friend (the one I made all the blankets for my friend’s baby) said that she didn’t use them as much as blankets I made her later because washing them made them fray a little and she didn’t have time to take special care of them. So I think Bernat isn’t bad if you are making something pretty, but if you want to make something more durable, I would use a WW acrylic or cotton yarn. That’s the standard for baby blankets at the hospital I donate to.
I like to use Hobby Lobby’s I love This Yarn or Caron One Pound Yarn. Both are really nice once they’ve been washed and hospitals accept them for donations.

50×60 is that longer then myself ??? if not what size would be longer then me !
A queen size throw blanket should be a good size for you. You could always go for a king just to have plenty of extra blanket. We bought one at Target that is amazingly soft! I fell in love the second I touched it. It comes in twin, full, queen, and king with a variety of colors. It’s part of their "Home" line, and is available in stores (I haven’t seen it online). The price was just down to $29.99 last week, and we paid $39.99 about a month before that!

OK, anyone who likes Angels has more than likely seen this picture…. It’s the one w/ a Guardian Angel standing on a bridge, hovering…aka "guarding" the two little children. I would love to have this picture on a fleece blanket; not a throw… a queen or king sized fleece blanket, or comforter.
A few places to check: ebay, amazon, your local florist shops, christian book stores and Hallmark stores. Maybe even Barnes and Noble. If you have no luck, there are alot of places like print shops and such that will transfer any picture onto a fleece blanket, just like they do to tshirts.

My aunt just adopted a baby boy and I want to knit a baby blanket for her. I’ve never knitted a blanket before. How much yarn will I be needing? Also, what’s the best yarn to use for a baby blanket? Cheapest? Blankets can get expensive, ha!
It depends on how big you want the blanket to be. I prefer the blankets I make to be a little bigger so the child doesn’t out grow it as fast. Two skeins of Lion Brand Pound of Love or Caron One Pound is more than enough for a larger than average baby blanket. If you are using smaller skeins (such as something that is 5 or 6 ounces per skein), three or four skeins will be enough for a larger blanket. As for the price, shop around. You never know what sales a store is having, especially if it’s a holiday!
